Helping Subadra Overcome Barriers to Pursue Her Educational Dreams
Contributed ₹15,000 to support Subadra, a talented student from a financially challenged background, to continue her eduction at IRM Degree college, Kuppam.
Background of Subadra’s Struggles
Subadra is a determined and hardworking student enrolled at IRM Degree College, Kuppam, pursuing her BZC (Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry) education. She comes from a financially challenged background, having lost her father five years ago. Since then, her mother has been the sole breadwinner of the family, working as a temple cleaner and earning a modest ₹3,000 per month. Due to their limited resources, Subadra and her mother do not have a permanent residence and instead live in a shelter provided by the temple where her mother works.
Despite these hardships, Subadra has remained focused on her education. She excelled in her Intermediate (BIPC) exams, scoring an impressive 99%, which caught the attention of a temple trust that initially supported her college education. However, after completing her first semester, the trust informed her that they could no longer continue their financial support. This left Subadra uncertain about her future and whether she could continue her studies.
Our Contribution
After hearing about Subadra’s situation, a lecturer from her college contacted our Helping Hands team for assistance. After verifying her story, we decided to step in and provide support. We contributed ₹15,000 towards her college fees for one year and assured her that we would continue supporting her for the remaining two years of her education, provided she continues to perform well academically.
The Power of Education and Community Support
Subadra’s journey is a powerful reminder of how education can transform lives, even in the most challenging circumstances. With the support of our Helping Hands team, Subadra can continue her studies and work toward a brighter future. Her story highlights the importance of community support in helping individuals overcome adversity and achieve their dreams.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has contributed to this cause. Your generosity is helping Subadra and many other students break the barriers to education and build better lives for themselves and their families.
