Background of Srivani’s Struggles

Srivani comes from a humble and hardworking family. Her parents, daily laborers, manage to earn only ₹500 per day, which barely covers their basic needs. They have no permanent home and are struggling to provide for themselves, let alone afford the education of their children.

The family’s hardships were further compounded when Srivani’s father tragically lost his eyesight due to a medical mistake after seeking treatment for a sudden eye infection. This loss has left the family in an even more vulnerable position, with no means to support themselves adequately.

Our Contribution

Despite these overwhelming challenges, the spirit of community has been a beacon of hope for Srivani’s family. When fellow students from the village learned about their plight, they came together and provided a place for the family to stay in a nearby village house. This act of solidarity showed the power of collective kindness.

When the school principal, who lives nearby, learned about the family’s struggles, she reached out to us for support. After verifying the situation, we were moved by Srivani’s determination and the hardships faced by her family. In response, our Helping Hands group contributed ₹10,000 to support Srivani’s family, ensuring they had some relief during this difficult time.

Additionally, we have assured the family of our ongoing support, should they need assistance in the future. Our contribution is not just financial; it’s an embodiment of hope and a reminder that no one should face their challenges alone.
