Background of Nirupama’s Struggles

Nirupama, a talented B.Tech graduate from Kuppam Engineering College, faced a series of challenges that led to a difficult turn in her life. After working in the IT industry for six months, she had to stop due to her father’s serious illness, which ultimately led to his passing. Her family, with a background in agriculture, has been struggling financially, having already lost their land to support Nirupama’s and her sibling’s education.

Currently, Nirupama faces severe financial difficulties, including a lack of proper housing and food security. In addition to these hardships, she has also been subjected to harassment by some boys in her village. To address these concerns, Nirupama’s situation was brought to the attention of local leaders, and through their support, we were able to help secure a new home for her family via government assistance.

Our Contribution

Recognizing Nirupama’s academic excellence and her potential, our Helping Hands team contributed ₹20,000 to assist her family temporarily with housing and living expenses. While this support provides immediate relief, we believe the long-term solution lies in helping Nirupama regain her independence through employment.
