Background of Hemadri’s Struggles

Hemadri, a bright and determined student, faced an unexpected health crisis when he began losing weight rapidly and struggled to eat. Despite visiting several doctors, his condition remained a mystery. Coming from a family of daily wage laborers who earn just ₹300 per day, Hemadri’s family could not afford treatment at a private hospital.

After his college mates raised funds for his initial treatment, Hemadri was diagnosed with leukemia at Kidwai Hospital in Bangalore. The doctors suggested a surgery costing ₹3 lakhs for a full recovery. As a young student with limited financial resources, Hemadri’s situation was dire.

When we learned about his struggle, we were deeply moved by his unwavering determination to continue his studies despite the health challenges. Our Helping Hands team decided to contribute ₹30,000 towards his surgery and recovery.
