Background of Divya’s Struggles

Divya, who completed her 12th grade with an impressive 90% score, faced significant challenges in continuing her studies due to her family’s financial struggles. Her parents work as daily laborers, with her father commuting 120 kilometers daily to Bangalore, earning ₹600 a day to support his family.

Having sold their house and land to arrange marriages for three of their four daughters, Sirisha’s father is left with no resources to fund her education. Despite her strong desire to study further, Sirisha refrained from sharing her aspirations with her father, understanding the sacrifices he has already made.

Her father’s friend, who is part of our Helping Hands group, brought her situation to our attention. Inspired by her academic achievements and her father’s dedication, we decided to step in.

Our Contribution

We contributed ₹10,000 to cover Divya’s first-year college fees, ensuring that her educational journey doesn’t come to a halt. We have also assured her of continued support for the next two years, provided she performs well and requires further assistance.
